Enemy intensifies activity in Toretsk sector — Ukrainian Armed Forces General Staff

As of July 2, 158 combat engagements were registered on the frontline. Russians have become significantly more active in the Toretsk sector.

This is stated in the morning report of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

«In the Toretsk sector, the aggressor has significantly intensified its activity, carrying out 32 attacks, particularly in the areas of Toretsk, Pivnichne, Pivdenne, Zalizne, and New York in the Donetsk region», — the military said.

In addition, Ukrainian defenders repelled most attacks in the Pokrovske sector, totaling 51 attacks. The enemy concentrated its main efforts in the area of Novooleksandrivka, conducting more than half of its attacks there.

As a reminder, the losses of Russian troops and their mercenaries in Ukraine amount to about 546,270. On July 2, Ukrainian defenders neutralized at least 1,180 Russian occupants.
