Kateryna Terekhova, a Kyiv-based volunteer and head of the HELP IN MUKACHEVO foundation, participated in the debris removal at the site of the missile attack on the Okhmatdyt hospital in Kyiv. She reported that unknown individuals brought poisoned water to the site, resulting in chemical poisoning for two police officers, herself, and her colleague.
She posted a video statement on Instagram.
Kateryna Terekhova explained that as she was leaving the scene, the police informed her that someone had brought poisoned water:
«This is Auchan’s water (…) As a result of this bullsh*t, I, another employee of our foundation, friends who came to support us, and worst of all, the police have chemical poisoning.«
The volunteer mentioned that one police officer washed his face with the water, and another drank a little. According to her, they were treated by an ambulance. The water appeared to be packaged, but upon comparison with similar water, the labels were found to be different.
The Kyiv police reported that they are investigating the possible poisoning of drinking water at the site of the attack. They noted that no medical complaints have been filed by citizens or police officers regarding potential water poisoning.
As a reminder, today, July 9, has been declared a day of mourning. As of this morning, the death toll in Kyiv is 27, with 117 injured.
Additionally, the UN Security Council will hold a meeting today regarding the Russian shelling of the Okhmatdyt hospital in Kyiv.
