Since the beginning of this year, the Proliska humanitarian mission have evacuated more than 700 people from the Toretsk area in Donetsk Region, including about 300 in July alone.

Semen Makhlin, coordinator of the evacuation project of the Proliska humanitarian mission, said this on Hromadske Radio.

Since February 24, 2022, the mission has evacuated more than 30,000 people throughout Ukraine. More than a thousand of them are immobile, seriously ill, wounded, and pregnant. In particular, more than 5,800 people have been evacuated from the Donetsk region this year alone. More than 700 people were taken from Toretsk. And in July alone, we evacuated about 300 people from the Toretsk area.

“Over the past two months, we have seen an increased flow of evacuations and, unfortunately, an aggravation of the security situation. To keep people safe, boarding points for evacuation vehicles are constantly changing. Information about the time and place of boarding is not available in the public domain. Each person who registers for evacuation is informed individually a few hours before about where and when they will board the transport», — said Semen Makhlin.
