Robotic dogs from the British company Brit Alliance are assisting Ukrainian soldiers on the frontline. The Ukrainian army has deployed more than 30 robot dogs in the Toretsk area, according to a report by the German newspaper Bild, which cites its own sources. However, the Ukrainian military had already published photos of these robot dogs as early as 3 August.

The cost of these robots ranges from 4,000 to 8,000 euros, depending on the modification. According to the journalists’ sources, these are compact, durable, and maneuverable land drones on four legs, controlled by an operator. They are designed to access places where aerial drones cannot reach, such as inside buildings or Russian trenches.

Equipped with video cameras, the robotic dogs scout the area, detect booby traps, and monitor the movements of Russian troops, significantly reducing the risk to Ukrainian scouts, the report says. Thanks to anti-thermal camouflage from the German company Concamo, these robots are almost impossible to detect.

The robotic dogs can move across the battlefield at speeds of up to 15 km/h. They operate within a 3.5 km radius for up to five hours. The first to utilize this technology were soldiers of the 28th Separate Mechanised Brigade, who are operating in the Toretsk sector. The military shared photos of these robots on 3 August.

«Step by step, the military is expanding!!! It’s better to buy a robot than to lose soldiers,» the brigade stated.

As a reminder, the fighting in the Toretsk area is causing daily casualties and injuries in the city. It is currently one of the hottest spots on the frontline.
