Occupiers destroyed equipment broadcasting Hromadske Radio and a local channel in Pokrovsk
In Pokrovsk, Donetsk Region, the Russian army used an unidentified munition on September 17 to destroy the transmission equipment that was broadcasting, among others, Hromadske Radio and the local regional TV channel Kapri.
Broadcasting has been suspended indefinitely. It is noted that currently the security situation prevents emergency repairs from being carried out at the transmitting station.
Previously, Hromadske Radio was forced to cease operations in Hirnyk. This decision was influenced by security concerns and the inability to replenish fuel reserves for the power generation equipment.
Before this, power lines were destroyed and electrical substations damaged in the Hirnyk area. This lead to disruptions in electricity supply from Oblenergo networks.
As a reminder, since August 28, Hromadske Radio has been broadcasting in Pokrovsk, Donetsk Oblast, at 99.6 FM.
In May, Hromadske Radio received broadcasting frequencies in Druzhba, Sumy Region (89.9 FM), and in Velyka Mykhailivka and Podilsk, Odesa Region (88.7 and 92.0 FM).
