For the past three days, Russian forces have been shelling Zaporizhzhia with modified guided aerial bombs. During this time, 33 people have been injured, and one person has been killed. This was reported by Mykyta Shlyakhtunov, a correspondent for Hromadske Radio in Zaporizhzhia.

According to Shlyakhtunov, the latest attack occurred on the evening of September 24. Private residential buildings in Zaporizhzhia were hit by modified bombs, causing fires and damage. Seven people were injured, three of whom were hospitalized. The Kommunarskyi district of the city was affected by the strikes.

Shlyakhtunov recalled that the first time Russian forces shelled Zaporizhzhia with aerial bombs was on September 21. Before that, the occupiers had only used rockets against the city. It is now confirmed that Russian guided aerial bombs have been used in the city center.

Ivan Fedorov, head of the Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration, reported that a 48-year-old woman with multiple injuries is in intensive care following the night attack on September 24. Additionally, two children injured in the shelling on September 23 remain in the surgery department in moderate condition.

As a reminder, Ukrainian paratroopers are preventing the occupiers from advancing into Vuhledar and Kurakhove. Earlier paratroopers successfully repelled a massive Russian assault. This happened on the left flank of Vuhledar’s defenses. During the attack, the occupiers deployed 44 armored vehicles. These include 35 armored personnel carriers and nine tanks.

This was stated by Orest Drymalovskyi, a spokesman for the 79th Separate Airborne Assault Brigade of Tauride, in an interview with Hromadske Radio.
