Defense forces hit the fuel tanks of the occupiers in Voronezh Region — the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine

Last night, Ukrainian defense forces struck the occupiers’ fuel base near the village of Anna in Russia’s Voronezh region.

This was reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

«An attack was carried out on the Annanefteprodukt fuel and lubricants storage facility near Anna in the Voronezh region of the Russian Federation,» the report said.

Russian air defense systems were active near the base, but AFU managed to hit at least one vertical tank, resulting in a fire. The operation was conducted by Ukraine’s Security Service in cooperation with other units of the Ukrainian Defense Forces.

  • The extent of the damage is still being clarified.

Destroying Russian equipment

It is also worth recalling that Ukrainian defense forces recently targeted the Russian «Nebo-M» radar station using ATACMS ballistic missiles. This radar system is capable of detecting and intercepting air targets.

The General Staff of Ukraine stated that the «Nebo-M» radar is particularly difficult to strike. This is due to its stealth detection mode for aerial objects. Currently, Russia has only 10 operational systems of this type, each valued at over 100 million dollars.

While the exact location and timing of the radar strike were not disclosed, the General Staff noted that its destruction will create a favorable «air corridor» for the effective use of long-range Storm Shadow and SCALP-EG cruise missiles.

Oleh Katkov, editor of Defense Express, commented on Hromadske Radio that Ukraine is once again making history by targeting Russian over-the-horizon radar stations.

Additionally, on October 3, an unknown group set fire to the regional office of the FSB in Novosibirsk, Russia.

According to the Main Directorate of Intelligence of Ukraine’s Ministry of Defense, these incidents within Russia are becoming more frequent as more people are willing to take bold steps against the Kremlin’s criminal regime.

The fire at the FSB headquarters was reportedly started by a flammable mixture thrown into a window of the building.
