Evacuation from Toretsk is extremely difficult at the moment — Luhansk military group spokesperson

The Russians continue their attempts to advance into Toretsk, located in the Donetsk Region. Over a thousand civilians remain in the city, and evacuation is extremely difficult.
Anastasia Bobovnikova, spokesperson for the Luhansk operational and tactical group and a Major, shared this information on Hromadske Radio.
«According to the head of the city military administration, more than a thousand people remain in Toretsk. But evacuation from the city is now extremely difficult,» Bobovnikova said.
On one hand, the enemy is using heavy artillery fire, and on the other, they are targeting cars with FPV drones. The occupiers don’t care whether the vehicles are carrying civilians or military personnel. Evacuation from Toretsk is nearly impossible at the moment:
«They don’t care—they’re hunting cars, so leaving is very difficult.»
Bobovnikova added that the Russian forces are advancing along Tsentralna Street, destroying buildings as they go. This is forcing Ukrainian troops to reposition since there’s little left to hold onto in these areas.
«We’re clearly witnessing scorched-earth tactics.»
The spokesperson noted that since yesterday, the occupiers have been advancing in the city, primarily due to heavy artillery fire. Russian tactics remain unchanged: the city is subjected to artillery bombardment, with limited use of equipment.
As a reminder, the Russians are actively using guided aerial bombs in the Toretsk sector. Sometimes, they carry out as many as 20 airstrikes a day. These numbers are significant, as the kill zone of a single bomb is 120 meters.
«Yes, they are using guided aerial bombs. The enemy carried out 14 airstrikes in the Toretsk, Chasiv Yar, and Siverskyi directions. While this might seem like a small number, the kill zone of a bomb is 120 meters, enough to destroy several residential buildings. This is a stable figure for airstrikes—sometimes more, up to 20 strikes—but overall, it’s consistent. They’re firing bombs every day,» Bobovnikova said earlier.
