How to decode your body signals in order to react to likely problems in time?
The guest of the broadcast speaks on the topic, Svitlana Lipinska, a psychologist, a certified psychotherapist in the sphere of body and motion therapy, President of the Ukrainian Association of Dance-and-Motion Therapy.
According to her, civilized people are not in contact with their bodies. This means that people do not trust the signals that the body sends out all the time. People have four levels of perception: bodily, emotional, rational and image-related. The body level, biological, instinct-related, is basic but as soon as mind begins to develop we lose our connection to the body.
Svitlana Lipinska emphacized that she specializes in psychosomatics. This is a trend in curing diseases which includes a psychological component in the search for reasons of body illness. The therapist noted that almost 95 percent of diseases have bodily and psychological components.
The show also featured a package by Valentyna Troyan about psychological and body training conducted for “Hromadske Radio’s” journalists by specialists of the charity organization “Sertse voyina” (Warrior’s Heart). Trainer Valery Ilchuk explained that in order to efficiently cope with the stress you have to feel your body. Co-workers at “Hromadske Radio”, Viktoriya Yermolayeva, and Tetyana Troshchynska, also shared their feelings after the training.
