Eastern-Rite English-Language: A U. S. Ukrainian Church Choir

For many Ukrainians, singing in a church choir is a hobby and a way of upholding their spirituality.

For Ukrainian diaspora or other nationalities, it is also a way of learning religion and culture of the Byzantine rite and keeping their connection alive to Ukraine. Eugenie Dalphond reports on a Ukrainian American choir, with a 60-year-old history, which debuted on May 31st a unique Eastern-rite English-language “The Divine Liturgy of St. John Chrysostom” by American-Canadian composer Roman Hurko.
