Putin is readying a terrorist attack on the Chernobyl nuclear power plant in order to compromise Ukraine’s territory and raise the stakes, Defense Ministry intelligience indicates. 

Russia is planning to orchestrate a catastrophe at the nuclear power plant, then will attempt to shift the blame on to Ukraine, informed the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine.

“Currently the Chernobyl nuclear power plant is disconnected from all monitoring systems of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA). The station is de-energized. There is currently only enough diesel to maintain system function for 48 hours. The occupying forces refuse to gran Ukrainian repairmen access to the plant. Belarusian specialists were sent by Lukashenko, amounts them were Russian saboteurs,” reports the Defense Ministry.

The plant was completely de-energized on Mar. 9 by Russian occupiers. 

In recent days Russian forces have also attacked two other nuclear sites, Zaporozhye NPP and the Kharkiv Institute of Physics and Technology (where the experimental nuclear reactor is located), the ministry adds. 

“In order to create the appearance of Ukrainian involvement at Chernobyl, Russian forces are collecting fake “evidence”. Specifically Russian trucks were seen picking up bodies of Ukrainian soldiers near the airport in Gostomel. It’s possible that these soldiers will be used as evidence of the presence of Ukrainian saboteurs in the Chernobyl zone,” the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine stated. 

According to the agency, if the Russian’s go through with their plan, it will have a catastrophic impact on the entire world. 

Additional there are reports that the Minister of Defense of the Russian Federation Shoigu announced the recruitment of 16,000 ISIL fighters to join the Russian army in Ukraine. The recruitment of ISIL soldiers and the continued Russian propaganda regarding the use of chemical weapons is indicative of the Kremlin’s intention to implement a scenario similar to the ones Russia orchestrated in Syria, in Ukraine, according to advisor Mykhailo Podoliak.
