As of Mar. 15, 97 Ukrainian children have been killed and over 100 have been injured by Russian occupying forces, announced the Office of the Attorney General, with reference to the data provided by juvenile prosecutors, on Telegram.

Children are most affected in Kyiv, Kharkiv, Donetsk, Chernihiv, Sumy, Kherson, Mykolaiv and Zhytomyr regions, which have experienced heavy fighting. At least 5 children have died every day from the shelling.

Bombings and shelling have damaged over 400 schools, 59 of them were completely destroyed.

The greatest destruction has occurred in Donetsk where 119 schools were damaged. Other regions have also seen a significant number of schools damaged: Kharkiv 50, Mykolaiv 30, Sumy 28, Kyiv oblast 35, Kherson 21 and in Kyiv 24. Eleven medical institutions and three rehabilitation centers were shelled, including for children with disabilities. And in Rubizhne Russian troops fired on Kryshtalyk a boarding school for visually impaired children, a city hospital and three schools, killing four people.

The data provided is non complete, given the inability to inspect the sites of events where Russia is conducting active hostilities, and in the temporarily occupied territories.

The Prosecutor General’s Office of Ukraine is calling for civilians to record any instances of Russian war crimes and that witnesses send in evidence.
