Russians use human shield tactics in Mariupol — Andriushchenko

In the temporarily occupied Mariupol, the Russian military persists in deploying among civilian buildings, employing human shield tactics.

This was reported by Petro Andriushchenko, an advisor to the mayor of Ukrainian Mariupol.

«Andriushchenko revealed another instance of occupiers deploying within civilian infrastructure, specifically in the midst of civilian buildings. A multi-storey building in close proximity to other civilian structures has already been cordoned off, with guards stationed, and preparations for military operations are underway», – he stated.

The «human shield» tactic is in action, Andriushchenko stressed.
