Zhytomyr region faces an air pollution threat following a Russian strike
After a nighttime attack by Russian drones, there is a threat of air pollution in the Zvyagel community of the Zhytomyr region. The Russian occupiers struck an infrastructure facility.
This was reported by the Zviahel City Council on the morning of April 8th.
It is noted that there were no civilian casualties.
«There is currently a direct threat of air pollution, so it is recommended to stay indoors with the windows closed. In particular, the Commission on Technogenic and Environmental Safety and Emergencies made a decision on online learning in general secondary education institutions, professional higher education, and higher vocational schools. As for preschool education institutions, there will be regular groups for parents who have no one to leave their children with», — the statement said.
The authorities urged citizens to monitor the situation and follow the news reports only on the official resources of the Zviahel City Council.
«Last night, during an air raid in the Zhytomyr region, enemy kamikaze drones attacked a critical infrastructure facility. The regional air defense forces managed to shoot down some of the drones. According to preliminary information, there were no casualties or injuries as a result of the enemy attack», — said the press service of the Zhytomyr Regional Military Administration.
As reported, a logistics and transport facility and a petrol station were damaged in the Odesa region during a nighttime attack by Russian drones. Power lines were damaged in the Mykolaiv region. The Ukrainian Air Force shot down 17 «shaheds» in five regions.
