In Donetsk Region, due to the intensification of Russian shelling, it has been decided to evacuate children from the town of Lyman and six other villages.

This was reported by the Donetsk Regional Military Administration, with reference to the head of the Regional Military Administration, Vadym Filashkin.

«The security situation in the region has deteriorated significantly over the past week… Given the constant heavy shelling, an important decision was made at a meeting of the regional emergencies commission to evacuate families with children from some settlements in the region. In particular, it is necessary to evacuate children from Lyman, the villages of Lypove, Nove, Karpivka, and Stavky of the Lyman community, the village of Progress of the Hrodiv community, and the village of Zorya of the Illiniv community», — the statement said.

It is noted that the Regional Military Administration is currently awaiting approval of this decision from the Coordination Headquarters for the mandatory evacuation of the population under martial law.

The regional authorities once again called on the population to evacuate to safer regions of Ukraine.

«Staying in the region, you risk your life and the lives of your loved ones», — the regional administration stressed.
