The Russian occupiers are trying to advance slowly, using their superiority in strength, weapons, and equipment.

This was reported by military expert Denys Popovych on Hromadske Radio:

«In the area of Chasovyi Yar, there is a small advancement by the occupiers in the neighborhood of «Kanal»—this is the eastern part of the city. They are positioned in a residential area. If you look at the map of the city, it is divided into two very unequal parts.«

According to him, fighting is currently taking place in the «Kanal» neighborhood of Chasovyi Yar. The enemy is trying to cross the Siverskyi Donets-Donbas canal, bypass the city from the south and north, and attack head-on from the east.

«The enemy is trying to advance slowly, using its superiority in strength, weapons, and equipment. By strength, we mean air superiority. They are using air bombs with control and correction modules extensively, which facilitates their slow advance. However, the Russians’ advantage in firepower is decreasing,» Popovych said.
