Air strike on Kharkiv: a man who was unblocked from the rubble of a building dies in hospital

An elderly man who was rescued from under the rubble of a house in Kharkiv died in the hospital this morning.

This was reported by Hromadske Radio’s correspondent in Kharkiv, Anna Chernenko.

The night before, on June 10, the Russian occupiers dropped four UIGVs (Universal interspecies gliding munitions) on Kharkiv. Three of these munitions exploded and caused damage, while the fourth bomb did not explode. “Sappers and pyrotechnics worked with it, and residents of the private sector were evacuated.»

«According to Kharkiv Mayor Ihor Terekhov, unfortunately, the man who was rescued from the rubble of the building yesterday died in the hospital this morning. He was 77 years old.

The rescue operation was ongoing and involved many people. Everyone who was nearby held their breath and watched. We heard that the man was alive, he was given water, and everyone was very happy that he had survived. It took two hours to get him out. But, unfortunately, his injuries were severe, and he did not survive», — the correspondent said.

According to her, seven other people sustained injuries of varying severity as a result of the Russia

Anna Chernenko clarified that the occupants attacked the Saltovka residential area. One of the bombs fell 300-350 meters from the residential high-rise buildings on the territory of a garage cooperative, damaging about 70 garages.

Three more enemy bombs fell in another area on the private sector, where rescuers unblocked the injured man, who later died in the hospital.

As reported, on June 9, Russians hit a residential building in Kharkiv with a KAB, which caused a fire.
