Parliament adopts law allowing local councils to finance the Defence Forces of Ukraine

The Verkhovna Rada has adopted draft law №559-d, allowing local governments to finance units of the Ukrainian Defence Forces.

This was announced by Vitaliy Bezgin, a member of the Servant of the People faction.

303 deputies voted in favour.

«The issue of comprehensive support for the Armed Forces (except for the purchase of weapons and ammunition) by communities has been resolved. All inconsistencies in the legislation regarding community heads who became heads of military administrations of settlements have been removed», — Bezgin said.
