Putin said that Russia and North Korea have promised to «help each other» in the event of an attack as part of a new partnership agreement.
This is reported by the Associated Press.
It is noted that on Wednesday, June 19, Russian and North Korean dictators Putin and Kim Jong-un signed a partnership agreement that includes a promise of mutual assistance if either country is attacked.
It is unclear what kind of assistance the agreement, described as a «comprehensive strategic partnership,» will require, according to the AP.
This is Putin’s first visit to North Korea in 24 years.
