Ukrainian military deny information about complete capture of Novooleksandrivka by the enemy
The information on the DeepState website about the alleged complete capture of Novooleksandrivka in the Pokrovsk sector by Russian troops is not true.
This was emphasized by the Strategic Communications Directorate of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
«The DeepState resource published information about the alleged complete occupation of Novooleksandrivka in the Pokrovsk sector by the enemy. Later, these «news» were picked up and published by a number of media outlets», — the statement said.
This information is untrue, the StratCom said, stressing that a significant part of Novooleksandrivka is occupied by Russians, but not all of it—the enemy does not control the entire settlement.
Heavy fighting is currently taking place on the streets of the settlement. The enemy, who has advantage in numbers, is moving «furiously, but the fighters of the 110th Brigade, together with neighboring units, are making extraordinary efforts to restrain their wild onslaught.»
«A part of the settlement where Russian troops broke through is under Ukrainian fire control.
All measures are being taken to drive the occupiers out of there. Fighting is ongoing; the situation is under the control of the Armed Forces of Ukraine», — the StratCom stressed.
It also called on «all kinds of military analysts and experts on military topics not to disseminate unverified information that is far from the truth, and media representatives to check it more carefully and use official sources of information.»
The information about the capture of Novooleksandrivka by the Russian occupiers was also denied by the 110th Separate Mechanised Brigade named after Lieutenant General Marko Bezruchko in a statement.
As reported, as of the evening of 23 June, 116 combat engagements were recorded along the entire frontline. The Russians focused their main efforts on the Pokrovske and Kurakhove directions.
