The Danish government has funded the production of 18 Ukrainian self-propelled howitzers, «Bohdana,» for the Ukrainian Defense Forces.

This announcement was made by the Ministry of Defense.

The artillery systems are expected to be delivered to the Ukrainian military «in the coming months.»

The decision to provide this specific artillery system as military aid was made by Danish representatives, based on an official recommendation from the Ministry of Defense and the Ministry of Strategic Industries of Ukraine.

«When I was in Ukraine this spring to visit several defense companies, I was convinced of the possibilities of supporting Ukraine by purchasing directly from the Ukrainian defense industry. This ensures that the equipment needed on the front line can be manufactured and delivered nearby. It offers clear logistical advantages while helping to build up Ukraine’s defense industry,» – said Danish Defense Minister Troels Lund Poulsen.
