The Kharkiv military grouping received information that the enemy has begun treating its drones with an unknown substance that causes chemical burns upon contact.

Yuriy Fedorenko, commander of the Achilles battalion of the 92nd Separate Assault Brigade named after Ataman Sirko, confirmed this on Hromadske Radio:

The enemy is resorting to all available weapons to destroy Ukrainians. They do not follow any international rules of warfare. As a result, they use everything against us, except nuclear weapons. This includes white phosphorus and poisonous substances. This is a new tactic by the enemy. First, the Russians mined their UAVs, and now they are applying additional chemicals. The purpose is to maximize the poisoning of our military, including causing chemical burns. That’s why the rule at the front is simple: if you see something, don’t touch it.»

He reminded everyone that Ukraine is prohibited from using certain means, including poisonous substances and anti-personnel mines:

For Ukraine, our situation is somewhat different. We are signatories to a number of international conventions and have ratified them. Accordingly, we must build up our capabilities using the means available to us. Currently, unmanned systems are our primary tool for reconnaissance, enemy detection, and precision strikes.»

Fedorenko also urged people to contribute to the collection for the Achilles battalion:

At the moment, we are raising funds for artificial intelligence wings. They are expensive but crucial for destroying enemy air defenses, which interfere with our drone operations. Thanks to AI drones, we have destroyed a significant number of the enemy’s most expensive weapons, such as TORs, Pantsirs, and Buk systems. To further increase our ability to strike the enemy, we need additional AI wings. If you can, please support us by visiting social media and contributing.»
