Victory plan will be presented to Ukrainians, but not in full — Yermak
President Volodymyr Zelensky’s victory plan will soon be presented to Ukrainians. This was stated by the head of the Presidential Office, Andriy Yermak during a national telethon. However, some details will remain undisclosed to prevent Russia from learning about them.
«Everything that becomes public is heard not only in our country but also by the enemy. That’s why, of course, some details of this plan are classified. However, it is important to see the implementation of this plan on enemy territory and to witness the results—the victories of our military», — the official said.
He also mentioned that Zelensky had presented the plan to both U.S. presidential candidates, Kamala Harris and Donald Trump. He also presented it to Joe Biden and the U.S. Congress.
At the same time, according to Yermak, the head of state discussed the plan with other partners of Ukraine, including the leaders of the Group of Seven.
As a reminder, U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken stated that President Joe Biden’s administration is studying a plan for Ukraine’s victory. Blinken made this announcement on September 27 during a press conference in New York.
Earlier, during his visit to the United States, Volodymyr Zelensky met with Joe Biden. The head of state discussed the victory plan with his American counterpart.
«During the meeting with President Biden, I presented him with the Victory Plan. We discussed details to strengthen the plan, coordinated our positions, views, and approaches. We instructed our teams to hold consultations on the next steps.»
The Office of the President noted that Biden will convene a meeting of the Contact Group on Ukraine’s Defense in Germany at the leaders’ level. There, the presidents of Ukraine and the United States will meet bilaterally to review the progress of consultations and coordinate additional assistance for Ukraine.
The Victory plan
Zelensky stated that the plan for Ukraine’s victory in the war is designed to ensure that partners make a series of quick decisions by the end of the year. According to him, the success of the plan depends on this.
«We would like that very much. Then we will believe that the plan will work», — he said.
The President of Ukraine also emphasized that he hoped the U.S. President would support his plan. He noted that the success of the plan hinges on quick decisions made by partners between October and December this year.
The President mentioned that he was also asked questions about Plan B, which is supposedly needed in case Biden does not support the «main victory plan.» Zelensky replied, «We are already in Plan B; we are living and fighting in it.»
Ukraine has never had a Plan A, the President added, as such a plan would have prevented a full-scale Russian invasion.
