The Russian occupiers continue their attempts to break through to Pokrovsk from the flanks, with one of the main directions being Selydove. Over the past 3-4 days, the enemy has intensified its assaults in this area.

Vitaliy Milovidov, the spokesman for the 15th Kara-Dag Brigade of the National Guard of Ukraine, shared details about the situation near Selydove on Hromadske Radio.

«In the area under our brigade’s responsibility, toward the town of Selydove, the enemy is persistent in attempting assault attacks,» – Milovidov said.

He added that, over the past 3-4 days, the enemy has escalated its infantry assault attempts, using additional armored vehicles. Several tanks, armored infantry fighting vehicles, and buggies carrying infantry have been involved. The attacks are ongoing, according to the Kara-Dag brigade spokesman.

At the same time, the occupiers are attempting to change the direction of their advance. Previously, they focused on Mykhailivka, which is directly in front of Selydove and has been held by the infantry of the 15th Brigade of the National Guard of Ukraine «Kara-Dag» for a month. Now, the enemy is using bypass routes, altering their approach south of Selydove.

Milovidov also noted the increasing use of aerial bombs in the vicinity of Selydove. The enemy is targeting the town itself with aerial bombs, multiple launch rocket systems (MLRS), and FPV drones. Parts of Selydove are under constant fire.

«The Russians drop about 10-12 bombs per day on the town or our positions. The town is continuously being destroyed. Since the beginning of September, major facilities have been wiped out. Now, it’s very dangerous to move around the city due to the influx of FPVs.»

Despite the danger, civilians remain in the city, according to Milovidov. Evacuation teams are still working there, and there have been cases where residents have sought help directly from the soldiers of the Kara-Dag brigade.

«When civilians turn to us, we do everything we can to help and ensure their safe evacuation from the city,» – he said.
