Russians shell infrastructure facilities in Zaporizhzhia

Russian forces struck the Zaporizhzhia Region, targeting infrastructure in the regional center.

The head of the Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration, Ivan Fedorov, reported this on his Telegram channel.

«Three employees at the affected facilities were injured. Doctors are providing the necessary medical assistance,» – Fedorov stated.

The condition of the injured is reported as moderately severe. One person was hospitalized with mine-blast injuries, while two others are undergoing medical examinations.

The Morning Shelling of Kyiv

On the morning of October 7, Russian forces fired X-47M2 Kinzhal aerial ballistic missiles at Kyiv. All targets were successfully intercepted and destroyed, but debris fell across several areas of the city.

As of 9:39 a.m., debris had fallen in three districts of the capital: Solomianskyi, Holosiivskyi, and Shevchenkivskyi.

In the Solomianskyi district, debris caused a fire and damaged the roof of a multi-storey residential building. Some fragments fell on school grounds, while the rest landed mostly in open areas. There were no reported casualties.

In Holosiivskyi district, a fragment damaged the roof of a car, while the remaining debris fell in open spaces. Preliminary reports indicate no injuries.

In Shevchenkivskyi district, debris also landed in open areas, with no reported injuries.

By 9:51 a.m., Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko reported that the fire in Solomianskyi district, which had started in a garage on private property, had been extinguished. There were no casualties.

Rocket fragments were discovered near the entrance of a high-rise building and in the yard of a private house. In the Solomianskyi district, fragments also landed near a supermarket.

At 11:06 a.m., Klitschko stated that three rocket fragments were found on the grounds of a kindergarten in the Solomianskyi district.

By 11:25 a.m., the Kyiv City Military Administration confirmed that three cars, the roof of a residential building, and the roof of a supermarket had been damaged in the city. The rest of the debris landed in open areas, causing no further damage.

Night Attacks on Ukraine

During the night of October 7, Russian forces attacked Ukraine with an Iskander-M ballistic missile, an X-59 guided missile, an unidentified type of missile, and attack drones. In the morning, at around 8:20 a.m., the enemy launched three X-47M2 Kinzhal aerial ballistic missiles from three MiG-31K aircraft.

As a result of the battle, two X-47M2 Kinzhal aerial ballistic missiles were confirmed to have been shot down over the Kyiv region. Additionally, Ukrainian forces downed 32 enemy attack UAVs across the Mykolaiv, Kyiv, Dnipro, Sumy, Chernihiv, Poltava, and Kharkiv regions.

In total, 37 Russian drones were lost in various regions of Ukraine, likely due to active electronic warfare countermeasures.
