The Russian occupiers are using Ukrainian children to reconnoiter the military positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, reported the SBU press service.

The agency appeals to all parents to be vigilant about the correspondence and contacts of their sons and daughters.

«Yes, in Kharkiv, the occupiers established contact with a minor through a Telegram messenger. They promised to pay for information about the positions of the Armed Forces in the city.

Meanwhile, in the Luhansk region, two Russian soldiers acted not through a messenger, but directly, offering a 16-year-old money in exchange for information about the location and routes of Ukrainian troops. The young man was frightened, but the occupiers «calmed him down”, they say you are a minor, you will be fine,” the SBU said.

According to the agency, thanks to the intervention of Ukrainian security forces, the young man did not have time to pass information to the Russians.

The possibility of criminalizing offenders is currently being considered. In Ukraine a person can be held criminally liable as an adult at the age of 16, and in some cases at 14.
