About 22,000 people died in Mariupol — the head of the Donetsk OVA Kirilenko
According to preliminary estimates, 22,000 people died in the blockade of Mariupol in the Donetsk region between March 1 and March 22, stated Pavlo Kyrylenko, the head of the Donetsk regional military administration, in a comment to CNN.
«The situation with Mariupol makes it difficult to comment on the number of casualties, the city under siege and blockade. But we are currently talking about between 20,000 and 22,000 deaths in Mariupol,” Kyrylenko said.
On April 11 the Azov regiment announced that about 9 pm the Russian troops used a poisonous substance of an unknown origin against Ukrainian military and civilians in the city of Mariupol. The substance was dropped from an unmanned aerial vehicle.
