«According to the investigation, on April 12, 2022 in the village of Pravdyne… servicemen of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation shot six men and one woman in a residential building. After that, intending to hide the crime, the occupiers blew up the house with the bodies of the executed people,” the statement said.
Under the procedural guidance of the Kherson Regional Prosecutor’s Office, a pre-trial investigation is underway into criminal proceedings on violations of the laws and customs of war and premeditated murder (Part 2 of Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
In the Kherson region, Russian occupiers are obstructing the «green corridors» which were opened in order to deliver food and medicine supplies and allow for the evacuation of civilians. There have also been reports of activists, community leaders and deputies being kidnapped.
Resources are running out in the occupied areas of the Kherson region and most businesses have closed.
People continue to protest despite the danger. Peaceful pro-Ukrainian rallies are being held in Kherson and Kakhovka.
