On the morning of January 8, Russian occupation forces launched an attack on Zaporizhzhia using S-400 missiles and, presumably, Iskander-M missiles, targeting infrastructure facilities in the city.

This was reported during a briefing by Yuriy Malashko, the head of the Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration.

«Today, from 7:00 to 7:21 am, Russian troops launched a missile attack on the regional center. Five hits were recorded, with two in open areas and three striking infrastructure facilities».

Preliminary data suggests that the enemy employed S-400 and Iskander-M missiles. The strike resulted in damage to private and multi-storey buildings near the impact sites, along with damage to vehicles.

There are five reported casualties, with one individual in serious condition who has undergone amputations, according to the head of the Joint Forces Operation (JFO).

As a reminder, the Russian occupiers conducted another air attack on Ukraine on the night of January 8 and in the morning, utilizing attack drones and missiles.
