President Zelensky will participate in the World Economic Forum in Davos
The organizers of the World Economic Forum in Davos have officially confirmed the participation of President Volodymyr Zelenskyy in a special event scheduled for January 16.
This was reported by European Pravda.
Zelensky is set to deliver a keynote address at the panel titled «Achieving Security and Cooperation in a Fragmented World». Joining him will be Klaus Schwab, the Executive Director of the World Economic Forum, and Björge Brende, President of the WEF.
On the evening of January 16, Davos will also host the launch of the Pinchuk Foundation’s Deciding Your Tomorrow project, with the participation of top officials, including Polish President Andrzej Duda. There is a possibility that President Zelenskyy will attend this event as well.
Media reports previously suggested that the President of Ukraine might visit Switzerland for two days, encompassing his participation in the World Economic Forum. However, the official program of the visit has not been announced.
It has been revealed that Zelenskyy had his first telephone conversation with the current President of Switzerland, Viola Amgerd, the day before. Additionally, a meeting at the level of national security advisers on the «peace formula» is scheduled to take place in Davos on January 14.
As previously reported, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak signed a security agreement during a meeting in Kyiv on January 12. The agreement will remain in effect until Ukraine joins NATO.
