Multiple Ukrainian regions targeted by the Russians
Kherson Region
The town of Beryslav in the Kherson region witnessed yet another attack by the Russian occupation army, leaving three individuals injured. Head of the Kherson regional state administration, Oleksandr Prokudin, reported that a 60-year-old woman, her 62-year-old husband, and a 54-year-old man sustained blast injuries and wounds during the assault. All victims received prompt medical assistance following the attack.
In Kherson region, one person died as a result of an enemy attack. The village of Romashkove also came under fire, leading to a garage and a car catching fire, with Belozersk rescuers successfully extinguishing the flames. Additionally, a shell hit a garage in a Kherson neighborhood, resulting in a fatality.
Russian forces fired 75 times on the right bank of the Kherson region, launching 351 shells from various weaponry at residential areas. Antonivka, Dniprovske, Tyahyntsi, and Kherson itself faced multiple attacks, with civilians suffering injuries. Tyahyntsi witnessed artillery fire, causing injuries to a woman and a man. In Dniprovske, a 44-year-old man sustained injuries from a Russian shell but did not require hospitalization. Kherson endured attacks on high-rise buildings, private houses, and industrial areas, with no reported injuries among local residents.
Kharkiv region
In Kharkiv, 14 people were hospitalized after an evening rocket attack by the Russian army, with a total of 17 residents sustaining injuries. Head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, Oleh Syniehubov, revealed that two S-300 missile strikes hit the city center, causing extensive damage to residential infrastructure. The attack resulted in injuries, serious conditions, and damage to 19 houses and 14 cars.
The Russian military also shelled Kupyansk and Malyi Burluk in Kupyansk district. The bomb hit the building of the village council in the village of Malyi Burluk. Two children were injured. A 10-year-old boy had his leg amputated, a 13-year-old girl is in hospital with shrapnel wounds to her torso. In Kupyansk, private households were damaged by shelling, and a fire broke out in one of the houses.
Odesa region
On the night of January 17, Russian occupiers targeted Odesa with drones, damaging civilian residential infrastructure. The regional military administration reported three identified victims who received necessary medical assistance. In response to the attack, 130 residents were successfully evacuated from the affected building.
