The best postage stamp of 2023, according to Ukrposhta CEO Ihor Smelyansky, is the «Eternal Memory» stamp dedicated to fallen servicemen. This stamp, canceled on the Day of Remembrance of the Fallen Defenders of Ukraine on 29 August, features a poignant scene with a Cossack bandura player bowing his head over the graves of his comrades.
Additionally, Ukrainians selected «Ukrainian Carols at the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra» as the best postal block. These stamps capture the first Christmas celebration in many years according to the new calendar, set against the backdrop of the Kyiv Pechersk Lavra.
