After the shelling, several high-rise buildings in the Dniprovsky district of Kherson experienced power outages. A kindergarten damaged by the occupiers was not functioning.

This was reported by the correspondent of Hromadske Radio in Kherson, Mykhailo Batrak.

On the night of January 26, Russian occupiers fired twice at Kherson from the S-300 air defense system. The enemy fire damaged a kindergarten, a multi-storey building, and a shopping center.

«The hits targeted a residential area in the Dniprovsky district of the city. There is a market, trade pavilions, and a shopping center nearby. A multi-storey building and several private houses were also damaged. One person was wounded in the shelling.

The shelling was quite powerful; a huge crater formed at the site of one of the hits. Many commercial premises, a kindergarten, and a playground were destroyed», — the correspondent said.

He specified that the kindergarten damaged by the Russian strike was not functioning, as were other educational institutions in Kherson. After the shelling, several high-rise buildings experienced power outages.

The enemy has previously fired S-300 missiles at Kherson, particularly at residential areas in the Dniprovsky district. These strikes always cause considerable damage.

«Currently, this area is not so heavily populated due to frequent shelling, and many people have left. Fortunately, there were few casualties due to the fact that this attack took place at night… Dniprovsky district is located in the east of the city, along the river, and is constantly shelled by the enemy. It is one of the most dangerous districts», — said Batrak.

As reported, on the night of January 26, a woman wounded during a Russian missile attack on Kharkiv on the morning of January 23 died in the hospital. The death toll from the attack rose to 11.
