Ukraine returns bodies of 77 fallen soldiers

As a result of another repatriation exercise, the remains of 77 defenders were returned to Ukraine.

This was reported by The Coordination Headquarters for the Treatment of Prisoners of War on January 26.

«Preparations for the repatriation event have been underway for a long time. The fallen defenders of Ukraine were returned thanks to the cooperation of the staff of the Coordination Headquarters for the Treatment of Prisoners of War in collaboration with the Joint Centre at the Security Service of Ukraine, the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine (Secretariat of the Commissioner for Persons Missing in Special Circumstances), the Armed Forces of Ukraine (Central Military Command), the Main Department of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine in Sumy region, the State Tax Service of Ukraine, and other representatives of the security and defense sector of Ukraine», — the statement said.

The Armed Forces of Ukraine will ensure the transportation of repatriated bodies and remains to designated state specialized institutions for transfer to law enforcement officials and forensic experts for the identification of the victims.
