The EU has approved €50 billion in aid for Ukraine

Today, on February 1, the leaders of the European Union approved the allocation of €50 billion for Ukraine under the Ukraine Facility program during the summit.

This announcement was made by the President of the European Council, Charles Michel, on Twitter.

«We have reached an agreement. All 27 leaders have agreed on an additional €50 billion package of support for Ukraine within the EU budget. This provides sustainable, long-term, predictable funding for Ukraine», – Michel wrote.

He added that the EU is taking leadership and responsibility in supporting Ukraine.

«We know what is at stake», – the President of the European Council added.
