Additional reinforcements have arrived in Avdiivka — spokesman of 110th Brigade
Some units of the 110th separate mechanized brigade, responsible for defending Avdiivka, have undergone rotation, being replaced by other Ukrainian Armed Forces units.
This was reported by Ivan Sekach, the head of the public relations service of the 110th Mechanized Brigade.
Sekach explained that the brigade lacks the resources to single-handedly hold the city.
«We do not have sufficient capabilities to maintain control of the city, but reinforcements are arriving, and we are relying on support from friendly units. For the first time in nearly two years of the 110th Separate Mechanized Brigade’s operations, some units have been withdrawn from combat for rest and rotation. Reinforcements have indeed arrived, although the specific unit is not disclosed. However, it provides powerful support, bringing a sense of relief», — he stated
On Radio Liberty, Sekach emphasized that battles in Avdiivka and its suburbs persist. The outnumbering enemy is attempting to sever the supply line. According to Sekach, Russian forces aim to capture Avdiivka before the upcoming presidential «elections» in Russia, scheduled for March, employing all available means.
«They enjoy complete air superiority, hindering our ability to counter air raids and city bombings. With a significant personnel advantage, they conduct various experiments with armored vehicles. They have a mission, and they are relentlessly pursuing it by any means possible», — remarked the representative of the 110th Brigade.
