In the Avdiivka sector, Ukrainian defense forces successfully repelled five enemy attacks and secured new ground

In the Avdiivka sector, Ukrainian troops have fortified their positions on new defensive lines, effectively thwarting Russian occupant’s attempts at an offensive.

This was announced by General Oleksandr Tarnavskyi, Commander of the Tavria Operational and Strategic Grouping.

In specific areas like Novobakhmutivka, Lastochkino, and Pervomayske, the Defence Forces successfully repelled five enemy attacks. The Ukrainian troops not only defended their positions but also consolidated on new defensive lines, resilient against further Russian offensive attempts.

Moving to the Mariinka sector, Ukrainian defence forces continue to hold their ground against Russian forces in Heorhiivka, Pobeda, and Novomykhailivka. Despite 18 attempts to breach the defenses from the enemy, including support from aviation, the Ukrainian troops maintained their positions.

In the Zaporizhzhia sector, Russian troops attempted 10 attacks on Ukrainian Defence Forces’ positions near Robotyne, employing small assault groups with several armored vehicles. However, their attempts were successfully thwarted, leading to the destruction of the enemy on the outskirts of Robotyno.

General Tarnavskyi reported significant losses for the enemy in the operational area of the Tavria Joint Forces Operation Centre over the past day, totaling 624 personnel, 4 tanks, 21 armored combat vehicles, 4 artillery systems, 7 vehicles, and a UR-77 demining unit known as «Zmey Gorynych.» Additionally, the Defence Forces destroyed a Russian ammunition depot and neutralized or destroyed 239 UAVs of various types.

As a reminder, earlier today, the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine successfully destroyed two Russian aircraft, that were used to launch guided missiles at Ukrainian troop positions.
