Russian troops make advancement attempts near Robotyno — ISW
Russian troops have likely completed operations in clearing Avdiivka and shifted their focus to occupying Zaporizhzhia region
According to reports from ISW, geolocation footage released on February 21 indicates that Russian troops have advanced near Robotyno and west of Verbove, east of Robotyno. Positional fighting persisted in areas near Verbove, Robotyne, Mala Tokmachka (northeast of Robotyne), and southeast of Orikhiv over the past day.
Contrary claims from a Russian propagandist, citing unidentified Ukrainian analysts, suggest an advancement of 2.02 kilometers in width and 650 meters in depth near Novoprokopivka, south of Robotyno. However, ISW has found no visual evidence to substantiate these assertions.
Recent developments show Russian forces making progress northwest of Avdiivka, potentially completing clearing operations. A geolocation video from February 19 reveals advancements on the eastern outskirts of Lastochkyne (northwest of Avdiivka).
A Russian military blogger reported ongoing attempts by Russian troops to construct and stabilize a new defense line in the Avdiivka sector.
