In 2024, Ukraine is set to achieve its target of producing one million drones annually, as announced at the «Ukraine.2024» forum by Minister of Digital Transformation and Deputy Prime Minister, Mykhailo Fedorov.

President Zelensky had unveiled the plan last year, and Fedorov highlighted the government’s collective efforts to realize this goal. Substantial progress has already been made with active contracting in January and February, securing contracts for hundreds of thousands of UAVs.

Fedorov emphasized that the production will encompass over a million FPV drones alone in 2024. Furthermore, he outlined a diverse range of drones to be manufactured, including reconnaissance aircraft, attack copters, kamikaze drones, maritime drones, ground platforms, and electronic warfare systems, promising an expansive array of capabilities this year.

Highlighting Ukraine’s leadership in this domain, Fedorov mentioned that 90% of the drones deployed on the battlefield are manufactured within the country.
