«Ukraine’s air defense forces successfully neutralized 17 out of the 22 attack UAVs employed by Russia overnight.
This was reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
«At night, the Russian occupiers once again targeted Ukraine with 22 Shahed UAVs. The Ukrainian air defense forces effectively destroyed 17 of these attack UAVs», – the statement from the General Staff highlighted.
The Southern Defence Forces provided additional details, specifying that the Russians conducted the assault on southern regions using Shahed-131/136 kamikaze drones.
«During this assault, the enemy launched an X-59 missile from a tactical aircraft over the Black Sea towards the Odesa region. Air defense units successfully intercepted and destroyed the target over the sea», – the military noted.
Furthermore, it was mentioned that the air defense units have been repelling the drone attack for a duration of 2.5 hours. Eight targets were neutralized: 2 in the Kherson region, 4 in the skies over the Mykolaiv region, and 2 others were intercepted in the Dnipro region.
