Ukraine successfully returns five more children from the occupied territories
Ukraine has successfully repatriated a mother with four children and a teenager from the territories temporarily occupied by Russia.
This was reported by the head of the Kherson Regional Military Administration, Oleksandr Prokudin.
«Five children have escaped the horrors of occupation and can now live freely in safety. We managed to bring back a mother with four children aged 7 to 12 years. The large family had faced difficulties leaving the occupied area for an extended period. However, when the right conditions were established, the family readily agreed», – he stated.
Additionally, a 17-year-old boy was successfully returned.
«The boy refused to obtain a Russian passport, leading him to hide from the so-called occupation authorities», – explained the head of the OVA.
Since the beginning of 2024, a total of 35 children from the Kherson region have been successfully returned to the government-controlled territories of Ukraine.
