Ukrainian Armed Forces attacked the ship «Konstantin Olshansky» with a Neptune missile in occupied Crimea
The defense forces have successfully targeted the large landing ship Konstantin Olshansky using a Neptune missile. This ship was seized from Ukraine by Russian occupiers in 2014 during the annexation of Crimea.
This information was conveyed by the spokesman for the Ukrainian Navy, Dmytro Pletenchuk.
The enemy intended to utilize the Konstantin Olshansky ship to launch attacks on Ukrainian territory.
«Therefore, it was decided to strike this vessel with our Neptune missile. And it was indeed hit. The extent of the damage is still being assessed, but it has certainly sustained damage. It is currently not combat-ready», — stated Pletenchuk.
As a reminder, on March 24, the Defense Forces targeted two amphibious assault vessels belonging to the occupiers – the Yamal and Azov. According to Ukraine’s military intelligence, the Yamal large amphibious assault ship suffered critical damage.
