Argentina joins the Contact Group on Ukraine's Defense

It is the first country from Latin America to join the Contact Group in the Ramstein format.
This was announced by the Minister of Defense of Ukraine, Rustem Umerov, at a meeting with Ukrainian journalists in Brussels, according to a journalist from Hromadske Radio.
«Today we welcomed a new member in the Ramstein format – Argentina. The number of Ukraine’s allies is growing», — he emphasized.
At the same time, the member countries of the Defense Contact Group pledged to provide Ukraine with security assistance worth more than $98 billion. This was stated by U.S. Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin during the opening of the 23rd meeting of the Contact Group on Ukraine’s Defense in the Ramstein format in Brussels.
To recap, the first-ever roadmap for innovative cooperation between NATO and Ukraine was approved in Brussels.
