The enemy has intensified infantry assault attempts near Selydove over the past 3-4 days, using multiple rocket launchers (MLRS) and FPV drones to strike the town.

Vitaliy Milovidov, spokesman for the 15th Brigade of the National Guard of Ukraine ‘Kara-Dag’, discussed the situation in the Pokrovsk district on Hromadske Radio.

«When the front is relatively stable, the enemy increases its use of FPV drones. The occupiers are not remaining idle; they are now operating on frequencies that were previously less common. As a result, there is a constant need to upgrade electronic warfare systems and protect equipment from UAV attacks.»

Milovidov noted that the occupiers likely have a centralized supply of FPV drones, given their frequent and regular use. In addition, the enemy is employing various tactics to advance toward Ukrainian positions. However, recent attempts have been successfully thwarted.

«The enemy is constantly probing for vulnerable areas and trying to storm them.»

Milovidov also mentioned the increasing use of multiple rocket launchers in the Selydove area, with the town itself being targeted by both MLRS and FPV drones. Parts of Selydove are under heavy fire.

«The Russians are dropping around 10-12 bombs per day on settlements or our positions. The town is being destroyed continuously. At the start of September, key facilities were already devastated. Now, it is extremely dangerous to move around the city due to the influx of FPVs.»

There are still civilians in the city, he added. Evacuation teams are still active. There have been cases where residents directly approached soldiers from the Kara-Dag brigade for assistance.

«When civilians reach out to us, we help them. We do everything we can to evacuate them safely.»

As a reminder, russian troops are deploying their maximum-range weapons to target the Vovchansk aggregate plant in the Kharkiv region. It was recently liberated by Ukrainian Defence Intelligence forces. This was reported on 30 September by Colonel Vitaliy Sarantsev, spokesperson for the Kharkiv operational and tactical group.
