This is a method of the Soviet special services: how do the «filtration camps» of the russia work in the occupied Luhansk region?
In the north of Luhansk region, there are 40-50 arrests a day.
The guest is Pavlo Lysyansky, a human rights activist, founder of the Eastern Human Rights Group, and director of the Institute for Strategic Studies and Security.
Pavlo Lysyansky: I know that there is a camp in Luhansk region, Perevalsky district. This is the former Chornukhyn penal colony (№23). There are «filtration camps» in the territories of the so-called «LPR» and «DPR», where one or two people are imprisoned.
People from ORDLO are not the only ones taken to such camps in the occupied Donetsk and Luhansk regions. But also abducted people from Melitopol, Kherson region are taken to these camps. The FSB and the Russian military have their base there. The situation is shaky in Melitopol and Kherson. Ukrainian men and women go out to protest. Therefore, the «detainees» are taken away.
It is significant that they are now looking for guards. This means that they have already equipped new prisons, new places of punishment. Now they need new people, overseers.
- In the north of Luhansk region, there are 40-50 arrests daily. These are the figures for this week. I think next week there will be less. Because the cities are small, and they have already grabbed whoever they could.
They take pro-Ukrainian businessmen, who can help with money, Ukrainian activists or politicians who are related to democratic parties, as well as journalists or writers. They also arrest police or those who fought in the anti-terrorist or environmental protection operations.

They take away those who hold authority within the community
They don’t care how many children you have. Did you support Ukraine? Detained. They have a detention plan, they report it to the FSB.
The Russian special services have the following procedure: if a person has authority in the community, then he is dangerous, so he is arrested immediately.
A less authoritative person is deported. Some people are offered to cooperate. If a person agrees, they continue to control them. Eventually, a person can be killed and told he or she is missing.
This is the method of the Soviet secret services.
- After the victory, the state will need to introduce a state repatriation service. We need to record where our fellow citizens are.
